Anyone have a spouse that was raised in an alcoholic family?

I'm working through what is (at this point) probably a failed reconciliation effort, but had a question about something that came up in MC last session. My wife has shared stories of growing up in a very damaged home. Ever since we were dating, and up until 8 months ago she handled that stress very well and was a loving caring spouse. 8 months ago things changed pretty significantly (not saying I didn't have anything to do with it. I was just as much to blame for my behaviors that were rugswept) and we haven't been able to reconcile well. The MC last week was able to capitalize on some love and comfort present in the session to work with my wife through some recent behaviors and how they possibly manifest because of the situation she had growing up. I'm interested in other TAM people who have spouses that have a single alcoholic parent (perhaps recovered) to possibly help me understand some of the behaviors that STBXW has shown in our R.
