| So, I haven't left my first job yet, I was waiting for the ideal time. I'm thinking that time is now. My bf just got picked up for full time at his internship and I'm at my most cantankerous. I'm sick so I took a day off yesterday. While my second employer was fine, my first made it a point of saying that if I'm too sick to come in today that I have to come in Wednesday, knowing damn well I work then. Given that I didn't mention Tuesday, she made her point loud and clear. Then today she got snippy over my hours, which is what I'm asking for input on. Initially, tracking everything I do wasn't part of my job. It was added as a way to, it was claimed, help figure out my hours. Now, it is apparently required to even get paid. I find it stressful to track my day blow by blow and I'm not always accurate. But now it might prevent me from even being paid. I am the only one required to do this. I am 25 and I'm being babysat. Is this ridiculous or what? The only other time I've heard of this practice being implemented was when management was already mad at the person... I am thisclose to jumping ship today, putting in my two weeks notice and hitting the bricks. | |||
