People seek my company all the time, but I prefer to be alone?

I am an introvert and do need my alone time. I like walking on my own, eating lunch on my own as it gives me the opportunity to think and relax. I even chose strangers to live with as they wont bother me as much as the people on the course will. I do have a few close friends and a bf, but I cant endure people for prolonged time. Nothing against them, but it tires me. However, human beings seek my company all the time. They sit on my table at lunch assuming im feeling lonely. Invite me to meet up, live with them. I dont want to offend them as it is not their fault and they are indeed being nice. I feel comfortable the way I am. At uni and work I establish connection with people, but its rather professional and I like it. Is anyone else facing the same problem and what do you do about it?
