Do I try and contact again?

Hello, so long story fairly short. I went out with this girl for over two years and we were in love, she moved to uni and couldn't cope with a relationship at the time so she dumped me over the phone in the middle of my exams and never spoke to me again. It was brutal. 6 months later and I still miss her to bits. Do I try contacting her again? She broke my heart but I still care deeply for her. Sigh.
