Why are a lot of Hindu Indians getting married so young?

I've noticed that I'm the only one out of very few from my area or from everyone else I've grown up with who isn't anywhere near to do this, the rest are all married or about to be. I'm 23, gujarati. So I thought it was only the non-ambitious, working class ones who aren't that academic, with parents who haven't been brought up for that long in the UK who mostly got married asap. There's other smart middle to upper class, educated girls doing this too though, even the ones who I'd never think would've got married straight out of uni. Usually in my area and community, it is the ones who have always been more focused on marriage and kids since studying, who have it all planned to do so asap but the ones who are raised properly elsewhere from different social circles are also marrying early. Why? I can't understand it, if the parents are British and Western as to the reasons for this... Is it mainly to freely have sex? Erm, I've never had this on my mind but since graduating and lately, I guess it has increasingly been a thought, that I need to start thinking of this **** that everyone else is doing
