Shyness and boyfriend's family, any advice?

My boyfriend and I have been going out nine months now, love him to pieces and everything is great- except i'm painfully shy around his family. I'm quite a shy and quiet person and the majority of his family are very extroverted, loud, confident and brash people. Nothing wrong with that- but it kind of intimidates me and makes me feel like I don't belong in their family :( my boyfriend is actually quite quiet, so i'm fine with him, but his family are mainly really loud! I know it's natural to feel a bit shy with your boyfriend's family at first, but i've met some of them a few times now and think by this point I should surely be feeling more at ease around them?? Worried about making them dislike me and think i'm not good enough, not confident enough, for him. I've been invited to his family celebratory dinner and am pretty scared- there will be about 20 of them- some of whom i've not met and others I have- really really hope i dont just sit there in silence the whole time. But sometimes they're so loud that I just can't get a word in :( how do I overcome this?
