Get told i look young but get so much male attention- how does this work?!

I often get told I look SO young for my age (18), YET I get an abnormal amount of male attention from guys my age and older. This is not even an exaggeration; I'm not imagining it- I'm far from deluded or vain, in fact I have suffered with self esteem/low confidence issues all my life. Most places I go I'll get some look or a wink, or a comment. I've been told a few fit lads like me in college too.. I just don't understand- surely if I look as young as people say I look i wouldn't get so much attention? or do lads like youngish looking girls?? I just don't get it at all..
