Ex won't talk after a long time

My ex and I had a very up/down relationship which eventually came to an end May 2012. Since then, we had a fwb situation/suggesting until December. After this, I got into a new relationship and didn't speak to my ex for a good 4/5 months. We had a brief period of being fine after that, but since seeing me in my break from Uni (and confiding in my friend that it was difficult for him to see me with someone else) he won't talk. I tried sending a link to a film I know he'd like that's coming out soon, but he has completely ignored this. I'm happy in my new relationship but this makes me feel like a really bad person - I never wanted to break contact like this.
