Approaching a person who you fancy - best and worst ways to tackle this?

Hiya guys, we're looking to get some chat and opinions on the subject of: **Approaching and starting a conversation with someone you're attracted to (flirting, essentially)** To get things started, here's some youtube videos: Thinking about these scenarios, what could those guys/girls have done differently (if it isn't obvious?) How would you tackle the situation if you were one of those guys/girls? If you were the girl being pursued, how would you feel? The videos can also of course be applied to same sex attraction :-) – funny examples of bad same sex flirting are just harder to find on youtube! What's the worst chat up line you've ever heard, any awful ones? What's the best way to approach someone you're attracted to – any tips for those of us on TSR who end up a bit like the videos above? Any truly terrible ways to flirt (aside from the illegal!)? We're keen to hear your experiences and opinions, no matter how shameful your experiences might be! :-) :D
