Ok... So POF sucks, right? What about Ok Cupid?

I am a guy, I know that online dating sucks for guys. Women can get away with having a poor profile because there are more guys than women. I used POF for a bit, had reasonble success compared to a lot of guys (who I thought were better looking) but the conversations led nowhere often enough and when they were good, we were too chicken to meet up. I understand on POF, because women get a lot of replies they believe they are better than they are and so become pickier. Like all guys, I had this problem but the women I was talking to, weren't my type to put it bluntly. Some were but the ones I truly found attractive were taken, boring, picky or on about 3-5 dates a time. Heard OK Cupid was better than POF? How much of this is actually true?
