Best way to end EA with married man?

After a 2 1/2 year friendship with a married man I've known from hs, which has intensified to daily contact, several times a day, hours on the phone, sex talks (on occasion and climaxing with one another), sharing every aspect of our lives BUT never seeing one another. (We live in separate far states) - I have come to the point where I am going to tell him in a phone conversation this week that this is not working for me. My feelings are deepening and the natural progression is for me to want more. I know that's not going to happen. So, guys...what is the best way to bring up this subject, which will be completely unexpected after 2 1/2 years when I speak with him? I want to walk away from this conversation with everything on the table and no stone left unturned. I want him to understand that this is wrong. If you were in his shoes, what would you need to hear to "get it?". How should I broach this topic? Advice?
